What is the treatment?
Shaving the hair of the affected area is the most effective with adjuvant treatment with sulfur soaps and/or topical antibiotics (fusidic acid) is advisable,

Trichomycosis axillaris is a benign and asymptomatic disease without any complications. Patients seek medical attention due to the fact that they notice a change in their hair texture, odor and excessive sweating.
